The short version: Linen does not collect your personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics SDKs, no advertising, no trackers and no third-party servers receiving your information. What you do in the App stays on your iPhone.
Information we collect
None. Linen has no sign-up, no login and no backend of its own. We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos or usage analytics.
The name you can optionally enter during setup is stored only on your device, purely so the App can greet you. It is never transmitted anywhere.
Information stored on your device
The App saves the following locally, using Apple’s standard on-device storage:
- Which rituals you’ve chosen, and the day and time of your reset.
- Your reset history, streak and completion counts.
- Any background timers currently running.
- The optional name you entered.
This information never leaves your device unless you choose to back it up through your own iCloud device backup, which is controlled by you and governed by Apple’s privacy policy — not ours. Deleting the App removes this data from your device.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, they are scheduled locally by iOS on your device. No push server is involved and no notification content is sent to us or anyone else.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or handle your payment details. Apple provides us only with anonymous, aggregate sales information. Apple’s handling of your purchase is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Sharing
If you use the share feature, the App generates an image on your device and passes it to the iOS share sheet. You choose where it goes. We are not involved and receive nothing.
Children
Linen is not directed at children under 13, and because we collect no data, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone of any age.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data a company holds about you. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to retrieve or erase. Your on-device data is entirely under your control and is removed when you delete the App.
We do not sell or share personal information, because we do not have any.
Third parties
Linen bundles no analytics, advertising or attribution SDKs. This website is hosted on Vercel, whose servers may record standard request logs such as IP address for security and operational purposes; see Vercel’s privacy policy. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when a font is requested.
Changes
If this policy ever changes — for example if a future version of the App adds an optional sync feature — we will update the date above and describe the change clearly before it takes effect.
